Juror and witness book, 1870-1889.

The juror and witness book is a record of service of grand and petit jurors and witnesses appearing before the grand jury and district court. Entries for each session include a copy of the order issued to the U.S. marshal authorizing payment of travel and per diem and lists of jurors or witnesses summoned with place of residence, number of days of service, miles traveled, and the amount of reimbursement authorized.
